Hadrian's Wall Hike

The Hadrian's Wall Hike Event

Girl power strikes in memory of two wonderful parents: Betty Burnett and Steven Bliss. Both taken too soon as a result of this horrible disease. All striding out for Macmillan to ensure no-one faces cancer alone. Roll call: Carole, Lynne, Amanda, Pat, Jannette, Caroline, Gemma, Anne, Lorraine and Deborah. And not forgetting Jackie, the pace maker and entertainer! Cancer, we're coming to get you!

Sedgefield

Yellow brick roads and cows full of fields - scary!

Lanzarote

Pat tells us she walked from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero today and got the bus back then got lost... then promptly sent us a photo of her drinking a pina colada...:)

Yeovil Marsh

Caz and Kris set off to do 7 miles but missed a turning and it quickly turned into 10!

Seaton Carew

Five of us drove down to Seaton Carew and hiked to Greatham, inland then back to the coast in the sunshine. Gemma was quite pink by the end :0)

1st April

Caroline and Kris trekked 6 miles round High and Low Force then Gibson's Cave and Summerhill Waterfall. Weather was perfect!

Pat's London Trip

Pat walked her feet off while galavanting round the capital!

Lanzarote!

Anne busted a ten mile hike along the coast whilst on holiday! Trouble was it included a couple of coffee stops and 'other' refreshments! :)

Mothers Day

Last minute quickie from Seaham Hall Beach to Easington Colliery along the coastal route with Ashley. Had been warned not to be late home due to a reservation in my honour at the George at 6pm. Rang Phil to pick us up just after 5... and didn't actually know where we were! Disaster averted when we recognised the colliery houses! Back to Ashley's car and home by 5.40, never got washed and changed so quick! Made it to the George by 6.05pm - miracle!!

March 2017

The Barclays walked from Castle Eden to Shotton Hall School and picked up the Coulsons who had safely deposited Molificent at theatre school. Off we went to Easington then Horden and back to Peterlee. Called at Costa for a well earned cuppa then back to school for Molly. Loved it - the sun was shining for a change!

March 2017

Jackie, Pat and Carole walked the longest trek yet - Hetton Lyons - South Hetton circular - 13.25km. Loved it! Despite a critical gate being overgrown - solution, if you can't go over it and can't go through it, go under the hedge!!! Hilarious!!

February 2017

With Molly in tow complete with back pack, provisions and a copy of the map (in true Dora the Explorer style) we walked the Noses point Seaham - Hawthorn - Hawthorn Dene circular. The views from the Seaham Cliffs were breathtaking!

January continued

Gemma and Lynne joined the gang for more Castle Eden striding plus we did the Crimdon - Hart - Monk Hesleden Circular and, apart from Jackie face planking a muddy muddle, all was well!

Training January 2017

Jackie, Pat and Carole walked part of the Castle Eden Walkway. Nice and flat for starters!
