So many people helped dad in the last few months of his life - but Macmillans were particularly amazing. We would love to see if, together we can help them help others in the future.
A great colleague and friend
Macmillan ensured wonderful care to Bill in his last days and comfort to Maureen.
Bill was always an inspiration to me, first as a tutor on the Hatfield CEG Diploma course and then through his support and contributions to the work of the Association for CEG, thus giving incalculable support by proxy to innumerable teachers and pupils.
Bill inspired me as a mature student and continued to be a good friend and mentor for the next 36 years. I shall miss him but he will live on through his work for many years to come.
I've never met a kinder and more generous man than Bill. We talked in depth about his thoughts and shared interesting ideas. He allowed me to introduce and teach Three Scene Storyboarding in schools in the Netherlands. I will personally miss him and think he's a great loss to the careers community world wide.
Bill's generosity in sharing his thinking and his work was immensely valued. It was always good to know he was there.
Bill was a warm and wonderful man. He was kind enough to allow me to use his new ideas around post-DOTS in my MA dissertation back in 2003 and I am sure the thoughts and ideas he shared on his hihohiho.com website have been used by many careers practitioners and educators over the years. I always enjoyed chatting to him at iCeGs Associate meetings and he will be missed very much.
I never had the pleasure of meeting your father, but hugely enjoyed his writing. I have the pleasure of using his work in one-to-ones with clients, and I teach it to our students in our career modules. You can see how his work really resonates with people and helps them to turn what feel like confusing and overwhelming career problems into something that's actually manageable. Through his work, he has made a big difference to lots of people, and he'll be a big miss in the careers community.
Bill was a great inspiration and will be sadly missed.
As well as his enormous intellectual contribution to our field, I will always treasure memories of Bill's irreverence and sense of humour. Gill Frigerio
A great thinker and a lovely human being. He will be missed.
My brother Bill was the single biggest influence on my adult life. I lost my Dad at 21 and Bill became my "goto" person. I'm not sure how I'll cope without him.
Bill was an inspiration to all of us.
